Abortionists Demand Pharmacists Help

Posted by Conservative Culture On October - 18 - 2005

It appears that we can expect a new series of outrages by the supporters of Planned Parenthood (should that be planned un-parenthood?). Atheists are upset that a Pharmacist refuses to dispense a perscription for EC (emercency contraceptives). Their outrage also extends toward Planned Parenthood for noting the pharmacist cited moral beliefs when ‘religious beliefs’ would have better suited for their framing of the issue. Honesty, however, demands that it be acknowledged that moral and religious beliefs are linked to both positions whether the atheists would admit it or not.

To some the dispensing of the “morning-after-pill’ is the moral equivalent of handing out the bullets to Nazi guards in concentration camps. Legal or not their is the funamental objection to participating in the act.

One such case involves a woman in Milwaukee, WI. In this case she went to Walgreen’s and the pharmacist refused to dispense the ‘morning-after-pills’. The women became pregnant and a lawsuit is likely.

Of course Walgreen’s policy allows pharmacists to refuse to dispense drugs they object to. However, they also require that it be passed on to another pharmacist or to another pharmacy.

When Roe vs Wade came on the national scene Norma McCorvey claimed she had been raped. She was 21 at the time and never did have an abortion due to the decision came too late. However, it came to light that McCorvey she had not been raped. In her own words…

Abortion has been founded on lies and deception from the very beginning. All I did was lie about how I got pregnant. I was having an affair. It all started out as a little lie. I said what I needed to say. But, my little lie grew and grew and became more horrible with each telling. Sarah and Linda’s (the pro-abortion attorneys in Roe) eyes seemed blinded to my obvious inability to tell the same story twice. It was good for the cause. It read well in the newspapers. With the help of willing media the credibility of well-known columnists, the lie became known as the truth these past 25 years.”

It is the pro-abortionits (pro-choice if that’s too harsh for you) who have utilized fabricated and overly dramatized scenerios to generate a favorable court decisions for issues they could never win at the ballot box. Don’t be surprised if pressure will be generated against pharmacists to be unwilling participants.

What makes me suspicious? Just read about the EC’s usage.

EC is used within 120 hours (5 days) after intercourse. It is most effective within the first 24 hours…. The first dose of EC is taken within 120 hours of unprotected intercourse. The second dose is usually taken 12 hours later. EC may be taken after 120 hours, but its effectiveness is lower.

A woman who has unprotected sex in this culture has many risk factors to be concerned about. Those aside, the EC can be procured ahead of time then finding a willing pharmacists is not a problem. If indeed the pill doesn’t work (only has a 75% success rate) or the pill can’t be found, Planned un-Parenthood has made it easy to schedule a time for the baby to be aborted… even up to being nearly birthed. Dubious? You can count on it.

Oh… about the comparison of this situation to a vegetarian refusing to sell beef jerky to a customer borders on the absurd. Well I guess human life is worth less that about anything to some.

Trashing Winning Ticket

Posted by Conservative Culture On October - 18 - 2005

I agree with Wizbang when it comes to lottery ticket players who play every last ticket at the counter while you wait. However, in this case I wish I was the one waiting right behind him. It would have been worth the time seeing these events unfold. One man wins and throws the winner in the trash. Another comes along and hits the trash jackpot.

But the one time he hit the $1 million jackpot, he said, he accidentally threw away his fortune.

The agony of realizing that you lost $1,000,000 would be tremendous. I highly doubt he realized that the ticket was a winner and ‘accidently’ put it into the ‘loser’ pile. Admittedly it is possible. However, had I see the winner I would have all the tickets quietly in my pocket and headed for home. There I would double check the tickets and then figure out how to collect the prize. It will be interesting to find out who gets to keep the money. Wouldn’t doubt that th estate of Massachusetts wins in this case.
