Need a government job? Riot in France

In his first major speech since rioting began, the French President said the riots pointed to a national malaise and identity crisis.

Socialists solution to the problem would be to give the youths all government jobs and make the nation pay for the cost through higher taxes. Does this concept begin to hit closer to home? When you listen to the liberal democrats you might as well be listening to French President Chirac. Apparently a volunteer civil service jobs will be available for 50,000 youths (mostly Muslim). In the meantime they will try to extend the anti-powers.

Similar attitudes were commented on in the media over the Toledo (Ohio) riots just a few weeks ago. The Toledo reported that many were able to plead down in their cases much to the irritation of those who were ‘bricked’ during the riot.

In nine cases ??? most of them involving misdemeanors or low-level felonies ??? juveniles pleaded to charges or lesser charges, according to the prosecutor???s tally by the end of the day. The pleas irritated police, many of whom were working the day of the riot.

In addition you might say in subtle ways the community and spiritual organizations excused the ‘understandable’ violence.

???Everybody knows what the problem is. The youth ??? they need direction,??? said Saeeda Hunter, a secretary at the Redeeming Temple Church on Elm Street, where leaders try to help youths who congregate outside their doors. ???We need the money for programs to give the youths something to do.???

The disturbing thing from a conservative’s point of view, is that many in US don’t have a far different mindset than the French. Now that is disturbing! When people think that spending the money of people who behave for people who don’t will help.
