Polygamy causes violence
In sharp contrast to Chirac’s comments just the other day, French Employment Minister said that “polygamous familes sometimes led to anti-social behavior” because the children lacked a father figure. The resulting opportunities to be hired were diminished because employers were less likely to hire them.
Cal Thomas had a good article about similiar problem of AWOL fathers in America, especially among the the black community. Many fathers in the black community do right by their children, but too many grow up without a father present and are often in prison. Yet the greatest crime are black leaders who do not speak the truth to help. It is refreshing to hear of one minister, who happens to be black, that speaks the truth. Jesse Lee Paterson, author of “How the Black Leadership Exploits Black America”, said that it was “black’s moral poverty and not their material poverty that cost them dearly in New Orleans.”
Regardless of color, when the family unit breaks down there is a fundamental danger to the social strength and integrity of any culture. France faces an even greater danger through the polygamous marriages of the Muslim communities. You ever wonder why so many jhihadist want to escape to a fantasy of numerous virgins in heaven? Can you imagine that in France there are an estimated 30,000 polygamous families?
