Thankful and Poised - Armed to the teeth
November 26, 2005 |
While we enjoyed safety in the presence of friends and family, we can certainly take time to remember those on the front lines. Some may wonder why Iraq, but certainly the line in the sand had to be drawn somewhere. In my opinion Iraq was just a piece of unfinished business. In the first Iraqi war it was frustrating that we didn’t finish off the regime.
After the revelations of over 100,000 Kurds killed by the same regime you wish that we had done more. The Kurds are the only ones who have been able to do well in the nation of Iraq. Even today, according to the pundits on FOX, they are the only ones doing really well today. When all is stable once again, you will find the Kurds excelling above and beyond their neighbors.
In the meantime, our soldiers need to be aware of our gratitude for what they do on behalf of many, including the ones here in the U.S.
