Paul Belien asks the question, “Do abortionists wish each other a Merry Christmas?” One might easily get the impression from the question that they also might see Christmas as a lost opportunity for another abortion. Though it might sound cruel you might change your mind when you see the role of conscience in the medical field playing a diminished role and may in fact be nearly gone in the European Union.
A European Union advisory panel has issued a statement saying that medical professionals are not allowed to refuse to participate in abortions. According to the EU Network of Independent Experts on Fundamental Rights doctors should be forced to perform abortions, even if they have conscientious objections, because the right to abort a child is an ???international human right.???
Sure, that’s Europe where things are… well, different than the United States. Don’t get too comfortable if you have a conscience and work in the medical field. The same discussion is taking place with mixed results and growing pressure. Walgreen disciplined four pharmacists for not filling contraceptives. Seems that the ‘the morning after pill’ is causing some difficulties and for many is the same as going for an abortion. The attitude against the four is the same seen in the EU.
“If you’re a pharmacist and a woman has a prescription for contraceptives, you should have to fill that prescription,” Blagojevich said Tuesday during an appearance in southern Illinois.
Consider the NewsBusters article on the Post mourning that abortions are “rare” in South Dakota. Is the pro-abortionists really concerned about making it ‘rare’? Or are you ready to except the fact that its about the money and the more abortions there are the more excessive profit they reap.
In other words, making South Dakota a truly happy abortion paradise would require subsidizing abortions with public funds and making them available in every town with a population greater than, say, 3,000 people. It???s a little odd ??? and also indicative of the biases of the media outlet ??? that no one presses Planned Parenthood about the abortion price tag. If it???s so high, why wouldn???t you ask the country???s leading abortion-providing corporation why it???s so profit-driven?
If they were so motivated to help the poor get affordable abortions, then why don’t they simply lower the price? Right. Just like they want abortions rare they also want them affordable. How could we ask for tax dollars if they were affordable. Silly me.
