Morales Execution On Hold Indefinitely
Morales, age 46, was given a reprieve the first time because doctors walked out. Now it is on hold for who knows how long. Knowing the liberals are fighting for his ‘rights’ to not be killed cruelly it may be years or never. At the heart of the issue is “Will he feel pain?”
For a process that could take 11 -45 minutes, it appears that the states have lost their stomach for the simple and quick execution by the firing squad. Give the man a last smoke and the option of the blindfold. Arrange for sharp-shooters and in the instant of the pull of the trigger it is over.
Where are the activists who want the right to ‘die with dignity’? We can slaughter babies without concern for potential pain, we can give slow drips to kill cancer patients but we can kill killers. What sense does this make. Look at his concern for the pain level of his victim.
When the belt broke, he pounded her on the head 23 times with a claw hammer, then dragged her unconscious and dying body out to a vineyard north of Lodi, where he raped her. He then stabbed her four times. Morales never denied guilt.
There is nothing cruel being done to him and if a person can’t see the difference between the execution process and a claw hammer… then one doesn’t understand justice. The last I looked the government had the responsibility to secure justice.

This has to be one of the best examples Democratic hypocrisy It has to be the most (may I say it?) asinine things I have seen in sometime. I agree with Expose the Left when he admitted he didn’t know too much about the topic.
At first I was strongly opposed to the sale, however now I am open to both sides. First of all, the fact that Chuck Schumer is against the sale, should be a signal that the other side needs to be checked out. Since when do Democrats care about our national security?
I am also not totally against the sale. For one we seem to be dependent on foreign businesses to run our ports. I am also willing to encourage US businesses to be able to handle the work. But I am looking at something bigger than what company owns the responsibility of loading and unloading. Remember that US still owns the ports and it is still subject to US law and inspection.
Why are the Dems so eager to embrace the ‘National Security’? This is the perfect opportunity for Republicans to pounce on their hypocrisy. Just yesterday the news broke about 3 jihadists training not in Iraq but Toledo, OH. While a business that runs the ports has an interest to make sure they make money you have to wonder at what are the Dems trying to protect. Why attack a program that tracks incoming calls from suspected terrorists just because an American might be on the other end? In fact the calls being monitored could have easily included the Toledo terrorists who also happen to be ‘good’ American citizens being protected by the Democrats.
Though I share Wizbang’s concern that Carter supports it also, I would like the Republicans to get off the Democrats bandwagon and challenge them on the issue. What would they suggest we do with the high treason committed here on our soil that we know about? Well? Answer the question. Will they want them before a firing squad or will the Dems be sending lawyers like the did for Saddam?
I am waiting for their answer but I guess it best if I don’t hold my breath.
Update: I love the article about this from Atlas Shrugs… must read.

UPDATE: I have changed the theme for now. But for those that have had problems (and others)… please comment. I love revvedup theme but may have to wait for IE 7 to get out there in the final version.
_______
Themes and browser compatibility can be so irritating. I love the new theme, though I have had problems tweaking a few things. That said… I received the nice and very helpful comment.
Your site seems to have great content but it???s hard to read because the posts run past the frames on the right and cut off words.
Since most of the traffic seems to feature IE 6 I am kind of stuck. Go back to the old theme? Or wait for people to get a compliant browser. So I open up this sticky post (if you can read it
) for comments. All will be gratefully heard!
At the bottom of the theme… it gives the warning that compliant browsers are needed. They are free. So consider upgrading. I love Firefox and safari. But I now use Firefox almost exclusively. I gave up on IE long ago.

Scottie’s Trip Into Orbit - Star Trek
It’s not beam me up but rather blast me into orbit. In what is another marketing gimmick you too can die and be sent into orbit.
Their families paid $995 to $5,300 for the flight, being conducted by one of a handful of growing businesses hoping to give a space experience to the common folk.
I am not sure what kind of experience a dead man turned into ashes will really have. The price range is probably sending the business men into a new orbit as the use this to promote the business. More power to them.
