Splash Down For Kennedy at Speach

A 20 year old student at Massasoit Community College has lots of guts for a conservative. He did something you might expect from a liberal college when a conservative speaker arrives on campus. Paul Trost spoke up.

No he didn’t disrupt the entire session when Sen. “Splash” Kennedy came to speak. He shouted “Remember Chappaquiddick” prior to Kennedy speaking and then left the hall. He probably knew he would be hauled away after that comment.

Shortly after-wards the authorities took his information and was referred for disciplinary action to the college.

“One of my teachers called me ignorant and told me this was an embarrassment to the school,” Trost told WND. “She said to me, ‘Can’t you forgive him after all these years?’ And I said, ‘No, he killed somebody.’

One thing strikes me as humerus, is how the left cries ‘cover-up’ over the Cheney shooting accident. No blood alcohol level was taken and of course they think Cheney was so drunk that he was lucky he didn’t shoot the whole party. But few in this new generation know about what happened.

In 1969, Kennedy was driving a car that went off a bridge on Chappaquiddick Island, off the coast of Martha’s Vineyard, Mass. His passenger, Mary Jo Kopechne, was killed after the car landed upside down in the water. No autopsy was ever performed to determine her exact cause of death.

No autopsy was performed? No test to see if Teddy was dead drunk? Talk about cover-up. The only question that will forever remain is this: “Was she alive when the car hit the water?” Of course she was. Who would accuse the Senator of any foul play? Certainly not me. However, he should have come clean. To this day it is a cloud that will forever linger over the Democratic leadership’s moral compass.

I imagine that this trooper ended up washing dishes at the local dinner not too long after this. How could he say such a thing about a man in the middle of his distress. Unless they already knew about his past driving record. I will will you look that one up.

Wal-Mart Pulls Guns but Has Morning-After Pill

(HT to LaShawn Barber) Wal-Mart apparently wants you to shop there but doesn’t want its customers safe when they go home. Post Katrina guns sales have been continuing at a brisk pace.

Wal-Mart stopped selling guns in 40 Gulf Region stores after Hurricane Katrina because too many people were exercising their right to protect themselves from looting thugs.

At the same time they are now required to sell the morning-after pill. Its a shame that the infants still in the womb aren’t granted the right to bare arms. It seems they are still the most unprotected vulnerable minority in America.

Predator Pastor & Gay Marriage

As if the proponents of ‘gay’ civil unions didn’t need more fuel to build up steam for the legalization for full ‘gay’ marriage. One of their talking points has been about how much problems ’straights’ have in keeping their marriages together. Not a bad tact in a society that no longer can sustain long term marriages as the norm.

Their other has been the attack on the Christians and the supposed hypocrisy. With the Priest abuse cases in the Catholic church they have created more justifiable ‘doubt’ about whatever criticism the church might muster. Now here in Northwest Ohio a predator pastor who solicited a minor on-line only adds fuel to the already raging fire.

Burton was charged with importuning and attempted unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

Burton pleaded no contest due to the strong case against him. Apparently he was arrested trying to meet a 15 year old girl in what turned out to be a sting operation.

Though one might argue this is the exception there have been enough in the news to make opponents and critics skeptical of such claims. Remember the BTK killer? So people seem more willing to accept other false claims about God that fit human nature rather than the divine nature of who Jesus Christ is.

We believe in God’s incredible hospitality and all-consuming love, and that God wants us all to love one another as God loves us. So why would God not want people to love one another and to legally recognize their marriage and have the same rights as everyone else???Ω asked Debra Duke, of Cranbury, who is the pastor for the United Church of Christ’s Maple Congregation.

By this argument they search to tie equal protection under the law (which every citizen is already granted) to encompassing it around ‘civil rights’ not granted by their creator.

We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights

Is it any wonder that there is a movement to move like-minded Christians to South Carolina?

Josh McDowell years ago wrote a fiction book where something similar was done. Except it was northern California where they sought to make it a separate state. Hmmmm… Can it get any stranger in our culture? Don’t ask a question you don’t really want an answer to.
