Winds of Change - Blackwell Stops in Allen County

Governor candidate Ken Blackwell added a stop in Allen County to hold a press conference. The theme of the campaign is “Winds of Change”. In light of Petro’s probe and ties to Householder have sparked a determined Blackwell to point out he remains the only candidate who doesn’t hold such close ties to the politics of the Taft administration. Blackwell also points to the backpedaling era which should have been a time of change with a Republican majority. Instead we found no Tort reform and increased taxes.

Blackwell points correctly points out that you tax behavior you don’t want to encourage. The new commerce activities tax is one illustration of why Ohio has lost its competitive edge. Something he hopes to turn into a rally cry and eventual change after the election.

The only question I had was concerning the petitions situation and form 14. His answer was direct and informative from my vantage point. Local media also spent a fair amount of time interviewing him as well. It does look like the campaign is now going into full swing and looks like it will be an aggressive one.
