Oh Sure! Now Graves Inspire Hope

Didn’t you grow a little weary with the Liberals attack on the war with the daily death count of US troops? How gleeful they were when caskets draped with flags were published? They cried if only they would see the bodies so that we could rally the American people to abandon the Iraqi’s who wanted freedom.

Now the San Francisco Chronicle has an article “Graves of al Qaeda martyrs inspire hope for insurgency“.

Here, among the green flags marking the graves of martyrs, are the remains of scores of foreign al Qaeda fighters killed in 2001, during the U.S.-led war to free Afghanistan from the Taliban. They were some of the most hardened fighters the coalition faced — even as American bombers pounded their positions from the sky, they refused to surrender.

The commitment the foreign fighters showed still resonates in Kandahar. People come to the graveyard to pray for miracles, and during these troubled times, it has never been busier. Taliban sympathizers pray openly.

“In Islam, we believe these men are martyrs. We believe if you ask for something to be fulfilled, it can be granted by their souls,” said Abdul Qahir, one recent worshiper. A bearded, rough-looking man, the 35-year-old Kandahar resident wore the black turban favored by Taliban militants.

How valiant and inspiring are the dead Taliban. On the other hand our troops are called Murders by the MSM and pictures of our dead troops only inspire retreat and defeat. If this is the mindset that is allowed to rule the direction and will of this nation then there will never be a conflict or war we can win. Thankfully it isn’t currently the mindset in charge of the country. It will be next election if the MSM has its wish.
