Ohio 4th Congressional Race - Cheap Photoshop

It’s down to the last week before the primary. As a stress reliever I did a quick photoshop ad based on the lib Brit ad (must watch TV) for Frank who appears to be spending more money on the race than anyone.

It appears to fit perfectly as Frank Guglielmi has started to openly admit on the campaign trail that his campaign platform is what the polls tell him. Scary. Refer back to the lib ad if you haven’t already seen it. Sounds a lot like money man John Kerry. Don’t believe me… listen to his own words here from the Mansfield News.

If this man wins the race the 4th District will be sunk. This race is just one arm of the liberal arm of the Republican party attempting to gain Ohio back prior to the 2008 election. For those that don’t love Taft’s politics you might watch the video above with him in mind also.

This is the funniest post I’ve seen on this election. If you want someone who does what he says he will do, and holds strong conservative convictions, you will want to vote for Jim Jordan!

Guglielmi reminds me of that quintessential RINO, Blob Dough, (Bob Dole).
During the election cycle, he sounds Conservative.
And once he’s in office, he’s the best friend a liberal ever had.

Question: Who do the words to this Culture Club hit sound like?
    “I???m a man without conviction
    I???m a man who doesn???t know
    How to sell a contradiction
    You come and go
    You come and go
Karma karma karma karma karma chameleon
    You come and go
    You come and go”
Answer: GUGLI — THE ULTIMATE KARMA CHAMELEON!

I’m sorry buit this song reminds me more of Mr. Jordan than “Mr. Gugli”. Mr. Jordan’s ads show his claim to fame is a National Champion…isn’t it time to look past athletic accomplishments and have a real political agenda. Mr. Jordan seems only to have stopped a tax increase..what else did he accomplish during his several terms in Ohio congress. I’m sorry I prefer to vote for someone like Mr. Guglielmi who is willing to really care about prople enough that he will go to Washington with conviction and not owe any FAVORS to any PAC groups. Being pro-life is wonderful but I want my Congress man to also care about more important political issues concerning our country. We need jobs in Northwest Ohio!!! Mr. Jordan hasn’t been able to bring any jobs here!

What else has Senator Jordan done?

Senator Jordan has been behind thirteen successful pieces of pro-life legislation, defending the most important right of all (for without it, you cannot have jobs). The most recent successful law that was passed removed “wrongful death” as legitimate grounds for a lawsuit in the state of Ohio (e.g., parents suing a doctor because a baby was born and the doctor didn’t abort him or her.)

Senator Jordan was, as I understand, one of the original sponsors of concealed carry.

Senator Jordan has been at the forefront of legislative efforts attempting to define marriage as between one man and one woman.

And, to answer your comment most directly, Senator Jordan has been at the forefront of efforts to cut taxes and ease the regulatory and tax burden on businesses. He believes that this is necessary to spur economic growth and job creation, and he has stood for this even when his own party has been against him.

The whole point of the ad is that Guglielmi has been inconsistent. He had no involvement with the pro-life movement–and, in fact, supported pro-choice or moderate Republican candidates like Betty Montgomery and Bob Taft–until a public opinion poll showed him that it was the #1 issue in the district. That kind of chamelon leadership is far closer to Bill Clinton’s finger-in-the-wind inconsistency than it is to Jim Jordan’s steadfast conservatism.

Gugli going with conviction. Oh, good grief. I can hardly contain the laughter. Not after his audio that he had to take a poll so he could know where to stand.

Being pro-life also reveals much about how a person things and the principles that guide his life on all pieces of legislation.

Jobs…. Jordan supports the tax cuts that help all working people and create an environment where business can come and create jobs. Gugli supports the CAT. So he wants to tax commercial activity. What does he really want to promote?

Last question. How many jobs will Gugli actually create in Ohio if he went to Washington? The answer: 0! We aren’t sending Jordan to Washington to create jobs but continue doing what he has already done. Limit government, lower taxes and represent real family values.

As a casual observer of this site I enjoy reading the comments and rarely weigh in. In this race, I see two strong conservatives, Jim Jordan and Nathan Martin. I’ve met both of them at “events” and believe they are both sincere and both conservative.

I think if Martin were able to raise more money this would have been a tough race. Military experience vs. legislative experience. Martin’s argument that the GOP needs his face in Congress, so we have a face to put with our argument to stay the course in Iraq is a good argument. But, one has to ask, is national security a big enough issue in Ohio? For me, the answer is yes.

Before meeting Martin my vote was going to Jordan. In my opinion, keeping Jordan in Columbus where we know he’ll fight for us and sending Martin, an Iraqi war veteran, to Washington is best for all of us. Together they can make a great team for all conservatives.

I think Nathan Martin is a nice man, but campaigns that consist primarily of mudslinging do not impress me. He’s made several defamatory statements about Jim Jordan, and about me personally, and I’m just an unpaid volunteer who is working for Jordan because I believe he’s the best guy. Martin would have a brighter future in politics after this race is over if he was more courteous toward his opponents, and toward the volunteers of his opponents.

I have NEVER met a polititian that didn’t want to know what the people were intersted in and what they wanted. That’s what Frank did. He asked the people what they were interested in and from there has decided how to serve the people oh Ohio best. No where does he say that he’s taken polls and will go by what they say and then won’t honor what the people want. Frankly (no pun intended), if the idiot king George Bush would listen to polls every so often, he wouldn’t have made over 70% of American’s think that EVERY REPUBLICAN is as horrible a leader as he has turned out to be. It’s a shame that Mr. Guglielmi didn’t win the primaries… he is a sincere and honest man who would have made this country the best it could be for all people.

While politicians who base their platform (and sometimes their beliefs) on what the polls say are a dime a dozen, politicians of true backbone are rare–and that’s why it’s a good thing that Jordan won.

[...] Such a move means some real “Green” for particular hot spots to show case what it means to be a ‘True Blue” Conservative Candidate. For some political humor on candidates that appear to change color you can read this post. It holds the link to a very creative ad. Perhaps it fit like a “Mitt”. [...]
