ACLU Has Massive Database of Members Finances

Posted by Conservative Culture On May - 12 - 2006

The ACLU is the single most dangerous organization in America. They use the system to undermine real liberty. They accuse others of the same things they would do themselves.

The American Civil Liberties Union is using sophisticated technology to collect a wide variety of information about its members and donors in a fund-raising effort that has ignited a bitter debate over its leaders??? commitment to privacy rights.

Some board members say the extensive data collection makes a mockery of the organization???s frequent criticism of banks, corporations and government agencies for their practice of accumulating data on people for marketing and other purposes.

What can you add but what STOP the ACLU says.

Talk about compromising your values. This is the most hypocritical organization out there! Can someone please gag their whining? I???m tired of hearing about it. The ACLU have absolutely no room to talk on this issue. Perhaps they should practice their right to remain silent.

People pay this group money to protect our freedoms? Somebody’s wasting their money and it looks like they could tell you who it is.

TABOR did not destroy Colorado

Posted by Conservative Culture On May - 12 - 2006

During the Gubernatorial campaign, most of the Republican Establishment, and especially Petro supporters, attempted to portray Petro’s opposition to the TEL as a fiscally responsible move. They cited as evidence that a similar bill (the Taxpayer Bill of Rights, or TABOR) had ruined Colorado’s economy.

Not so, says Colorado Governor Bill Owens. In an open letter to Ohioans, he stated:

As Ohioans debate government spending limits, some may be misled by those who claim Colorado???s spending limit law was so bad that it has been repealed.

Nothing could be further from the truth. Our Tax Payer Bill of Rights (TABOR) is still in place and it still limits government growth to reasonable, prudent levels that allow our state???s public and private sectors to be strong and productive.

Owens went on to refute claims that TABOR had failed, pointing to Colorado’s thriving economy. He also refuted the charge that TABOR had been repealed, noting that voters had left all of TABOR’s formulas in place, and had simply enacted a fix to the bill–a fix that, incidentally, has been included in Ohio’s TEL. (It permits the government to grow faster if the economy also does.)

Owens even gets in a few good-natured jabs at Ohio in the process:

Ohioans need only examine the ultimate opinion poll of where people choose to live and where businesses decide to create well-paying jobs. In the last five years Colorado has grown in population by 8.5%. We have replaced every job lost during the recession that hit our high-tech industries hard. Incomes in Colorado rank 8th nationally and are growing faster than the national average. We easily outpace Ohio in every one of these measures.

Our spending limit is a big reason for our success. If Ohio were to pass its own spending limit, its citizens could share in the same growth, prosperity and freedom we have in Colorado.

Conservatives like Ken Blackwell and Jim Jordan who supported this measure in the primary were few and far between. But it looks like they were right.

Favorite Blogs - We didn’t make the list

Posted by Conservative Culture On May - 12 - 2006

Ahhh. The list of blogs seems endless. I have my favorite ones. You do too. So you can read Right Wing News’ list of polled favorites from those right of center in the blogger community.

Many of you didn’t get a poll… neither did I. Unfortunately we didn’t make the list. Not that I expected. But one can always dream. I imagine that I’m not the only blogger to wish to be on such a list.

So congrats to those that did. I see several of my favorite on there. But I also see many new ones to check out. So here is the list for you as well.

UK Girl age 11 - Youngest Mother

Posted by Conservative Culture On May - 12 - 2006

It started with a drunken night out with friends (and I use that term very lightly). In the end a 15 year old impregnates an 11 year old who is now 8 months pregnant.

A girl is to become Britain’s youngest mother after becoming pregnant at 11.

The girl smokes 20 cigarettes a day despite being eight months’ pregnant. She conceived aged 11 when she lost her virginity to a boy of 15 on a drunken night out with friends.

The mother can’t even control her own daughter so I am not surprised. Hard to be amazed anymore, but listen to the 11 year old’s take on this.

She told the Sun: “I didn’t think I’d get pregnant because it was my first time. But I’m really excited and looking forward to being a mum.

From recreational sex to recreational babies. Of course she thinks she will have fun. She will have no real responsibility. I am sure in 11 years that she can have a mommy to daughter talk about how its that time to get pregnant. Dysfunctional families create a dysfunctional society. Perhaps its time to let such children to marry. May the boy could have several wives to occupy his time when one doesn’t feel good from the pregnancy. You say too young for that. Well, its too young for children emotionally and physically for this as well. But apparently its not the problem one once thought.

Border Security on it’s way - Soon??

Posted by Conservative Culture On May - 12 - 2006

The border patrol reporting minutemen to the Mexican government didn’t sit well with conservatives. The Republicans must be noticing that conservatives in the party are less than excited by the recent desire to act like moderates on the border issue. So somethings seem to be in the works. STOP The ACLU finds that the President will be making a Prime Time Address on Monday though with some reservation.

So, will it be more lip service, or will he actually address the issue with real action? Will it be more of the same, or has the public outcry finally been heard? Will the speech be in English or Spanish?

A strong initial signal was sent by the House as they voted 252-171 to authorize Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld to assign National Guard troops to the border.

The request comes as some Southern lawmakers met this week with White House strategist Karl Rove for a discussion that included making greater use of National Guard troops to shore up border control. Congress is poised to pass legislation this month that would call for additional border security, a new guest worker program and provisions opening the way to eventual citizenship for many of the estimated 11 million illegal immigrants in the country.

Perhaps by the time the speech is given on Monday the Senate indicate that it plans to follow the House vote with a similar vote. Perhaps the time for talking is over and the border security will become priority one for the government. It is long over due. Not just a gesture but a new policy and action to secure the border. Something long over due and promised by both sides in the Reagan administration. I hold my breath in anticipation (well… only in short stretches).
