Taft Gives Blackwell the Kiss of Death

On Wednesday, after Blackwell won the GOP nomination, Taft said he would support him.
“He thinks Blackwell will have an economic message that will move Ohio forward,” Taft spokesman Mark Rickel said.
Two oddities from this news. The first and biggest is this. If Taft believes that Blackwell has the message to move Ohio forward… has he known all along that his message was one to hold Ohio back? Did Taft knowingly raise taxes to hurt Ohio? Or is he attempting to raise his historically pathetic poll numbers before leaving office in shame? If he really believed that then he might have acted on the message he know says will move Ohio forward.
Taft is suddenly getting political religion and I ain’t buyin’ it.
