If you like DeWine, vote Guiliani

Ohio Guy has written this post about what Rudy Guiliani is up to these days. Guiliani has started Solutions America. I visited the site. It has, displayed prominently on the front page, a map with Guiliani’s endorsements. I clicked on Ohio. The only Ohio politician Guiliani has endorsed is Mike Dewine. Not Ken Blackwell, not Greg Hartmann, and not Betty M., Sandy O’Brien, or Mary Taylor.

So that’s the sort of politician Rudy identifies with. DeWine will talk a little more conservative, but they’re similarly moderate in actions. As you prepare for the 2008 elections, keep this in mind: If you’d like a DeWine in the White House, vote Guiliani.

    Actually, Rudy did endorse Blackwell:

Good point. But you just have to wonder why he didn’t post it on his website. Perhaps he didn’t want a national audience to know that he was backing Blackwell, but didn’t mind if they knew he was backing DeWine.

At any rate, the fact that he only listed his endorsement of one of Ohio’s least popular statewide politicians (especially with the conservative base) struck me as odd.

Ahhhh. Don’t fall for the Rudy endorsement of Blackwell. He only is courting the Ohio Conservative vote. Plain and simple. Its like DeWine endorsement of Blackwell. Who benefits in Ohio from such actions? Certainly the more liberal ones.

I’m pretty sure the only candidates Rudy highlighted were candidates for federal office… But I may be wrong. I didn’t look through all of them.

Okay. Whatever. But it did strike me as odd.
