This came across the email wire and Daniel Mount wrote a reply which I wanted to make sure was posted. So here is the original letter.
Secretary Blackwell,
Some of us recognized that Bob Taft did not have the leadership skills to lead Ohio
into the 21st Century. It’s hard to believe that you didn’t see it also, since you were
part of the day-to-day operations of the Republican one-party rule. While you and
others with a front row seat sat on your hands for nearly a decade, Bob Taft led the charge in the race to the bottom — we’re almost there, and you are on my short list of those most responsible. With this in mind, why on earth would I vote for you in November?John Mitchel

Col. Mitchell,
The reasons you would vote for Ken Blackwell in November include these:
1. Ken Blackwell stands for protecting innocent human life, which as you stated during your Senate campaign is an important issue to you.
2. Ken Blackwell stands for protecting marriage as being between a man and a woman–another major plank in your Senate campaign.
3. Ken Blackwell has consistently led the fight against Bob Taft’s tax increases.
In selecting a Governor, let us look not to the past but to the future. Ken Blackwell is best for the future of Ohio.
