“Saddam You’re not a crook”

You judge. Is it a judge trying to save his own neck or has something behind the scenes happened and this is a message to Saddam (and the world) that Saddam is going to fare well in the rest of the trial?

BAGHDAD (UPI) — After being accused of bias in favor of deposed Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein, the chief judge at his Baghdad trial said Thursday Saddam never was a dictator.

The unusual remark came while Saddam himself was questioning a Kurdish witness about an incident in which the man tried to meet with him in 1989

From the NewsBusters we find Huffington in bed with the same deluded people concerning the Kurds.

Putting aside the fact the Arianna Huffington dubiously implied on tonight’s Factor that Bill Buckley and Chris Shays agree with John Murtha about a strategy for Iraq, what was frankly unbelievable was her ignorance and abject indifference towards the plight of the Kurds under Saddam Hussein. Huffington argued that the Kurds were free before we invaded Iraq, that their situation has not changed “one iota” since the invasion, and even replied “so what” to O’Reilly’s assertion that Saddam persecuted the Kurds.

Kurds die. Saddam still lives. The only time the left will be outraged is if Saddam will get a death sentence.
