“Vegetative” woman shown to have active brain

A recent study conducted by the Medical Research Council’s cognition and Brain Sciences Unit in Cambridge, England has shown that a 23-year-old woman left in a “vegetative” state after a car accident a year ago still has a brain capable of imagining herself playing tennis or walking through the rooms of her house.
