Truth About Islam

Posted by Conservative Culture On October - 17 - 2006

Independent Conservative has a nice piece on the truth of Islam from a recent book of an interview with Michael Medved by Robert Spencer. None of it is really new to those who know Islam and Christianity. It is also no surprise that jihad is a great opportunity for Allah to rid himself of the Christians and Jews who don’t follow him (others will be included by default).

The Koran, Surah 9.29-30

[9.29] Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.
[9.30] And the Jews say: Uzair is the son of Allah; and the Christians say: The Messiah is the son of Allah; these are the words of their mouths; they imitate the saying of those who disbelieved before; may Allah destroy them; how they are turned away!

Reading the bit about Muhammad it wouldn’t surprise me that today he would run well in the Northeast of the US as a Democrat.

Spencer mentioned that Muhammad encouraged his followers to “rid him” of his critics and told those who killed his critics not to feel remorseful about it. One critic killed was a pregnant woman. The follower of Muhammad killed both mother and child. The murderer asked Muhammad if Allah (their god) would be angry and Muhammad told the murderer not to worry about it.

Another caller said he goes to concerts were bands trash Christianity all the time and he sees Christian protesters, that he never fears, but if there was a band trashing Islam he’d be afraid to go. Simply because there would be violent attacks.

A caller mentioned that Muhammad had no “visions” of being able to have multiple wives until after his rich wife died.

Spencer says the 4 witnesses to a rape rule came about because Muhammad had a wife that was accused of adultery. He did not believe the accusers and he required that the accusers produce 4 witnesses. This went into the Koran (that book Muslims believe their god gave to man) and is still enforced today.

The best part from a humor standpoint… was the fact that Muhammad didn’t live by the same rules as his followers. Yes, Muhammad would have fit well into America’s landscape today. I just don’t know how long America would survive with too many lie him. I still look forward to the future interview (if you want to call it that) of Muhammad by Jesus. Now that will be must see TV.

Where In The World Is Ted Strickland?

Posted by Conservative Culture On October - 17 - 2006

More on the controversy of Stricklands claim of where he really lives. Isn’t your primary residence where you live most of the time and pay your taxes? It seems obvious but even here the mainstream media picking up on this is trying to spin it. The idea of two residents… one in D.C. and one in Ohio is not the same as having two residences in Ohio. Nice try but I don’t buy it. Pay attention to the issue and get into it. A man who can’t determine who is a predator on staff and doesn’t know where he really lives by the law???? He knows and is lying.

Blackwell: Points to Go After

Posted by Conservative Culture On October - 17 - 2006

Thanks to Right Angle Blog for his fine tuned article with plenty of quotes from the debate between Blackwell and Strickland. There were several points that just really set me off. Sometimes you wish you could enter the debate… take your parting shot and then let the debate resume.

“I have never knowingly hired or employed someone on my staff, either campaign or my congressional staff, that did not share my values of protecting children and honoring young children and their need to be protected by adults,” he said.

The key word is “knowingly.” During the primary, Strickland said he didn’t know anything untoward about the staffer when he was hired, and when he was told anonymously about the allegations and asked the employee about them, the man denied them. The two even went on a post-campaign vacation to Europe together by themselves.

You have a potential pervert on staff and you take his word. Mr. Strickland, you said yo never knowlingly hired someone you knew was a child molestor. You didn’t answer the question as if you kept on staff someone you suspected or knew was a child abuser. Now answer the question… did you know or suspect? Then why didn’t you do something about it.

Strickland dismissed the attack after the debate: “Mr. Blackwell is a desperate man. He is hugely behind in the polls. Nothing he has tried has worked and he is looking for a silver bullet. It is not going to work.”

Are you saying that your counterparts in Congress are desperate adn behind in the polls when they attacked Folley? Is this your excuse and coverup for having done nothing. When did you suspect? Why didn’t you do more earlier? Answer the question? But you won’t because you are guilty of doing nothing. Is this the behavior we will expect to see if you manage to worm your way into office as some type of “moderate”.

During the debate, Blackwell also honed in on a non-binding congressional resolution rejecting conclusions of an article by the American Psychological Association suggesting that sexual relationships between adults and children might be positive for children. Strickland voted “present” on the matter, which passed the House with 355 “yes” votes.

“This was a report that said at times sex between children and adults are positive,” Blackwell said. “You were one of 13; 355 of your colleagues voted for the resolution. It was voted unanimously in the Senate.

This doesn’t seem like a difficult piece of legislation to back. You explain yourself Mr. Strickland.

Again, Strickland fired backed at his GOP opponent: “Mr. Blackwell, you’re just outrageous.”

Strickland said he agreed with most of the resolution but took issue with a portion saying children who are sexually abused as children could not become healthy, affectionate adults.

“I certainly don’t believe that as a psychologist, I don’t believe that as a minister,” Strickland said. “I believe God can help such a child overcome such abuse,” Strickland said.

Great answer Mr. Strickland. You hide behind a degree and pretend to be some ‘conservative christian’ by bringing your religion to bear to not condemn perverted behavior. Do you agree with the report as well that at times sex between adults and children “can be at times” beneficial???

Sure. People can be healed as a whole person by God. But your experience as a pysch and minster (if you practiced either for anytime) that this is the rare exception and not the norm. You didn’t vote because of a rare event? Wasn’t your moral outrage of the latter out-weighed by the former?

I really think this exposes your true moral compass. I certainly wouldn’t allow this man to care for my children. His judgment is sorely lacking. If Ohio votes in Strickland then Ohio ’s moral compass will be broke.

10 Reasons Strickland Shouldn’t Be Governor

Posted by Conservative Culture On October - 17 - 2006

Human events had this top ten list. Thought I would share it and the link with you. Just in case you are swayed because you “hate” Taft and think Strickland will be “good for change”.

10. During his 12 years in Congress, Strickland failed to author a single piece of legislation that even made it out of congressional committee much less passed into law.

9. Strickland is an unaccomplished Washington politician who has never held an administrative job nor worked in Ohio government and who lacks the management experience to be governor of the nation’s seventh largest economy.

8. Strickland has taken thousands of dollars from the Association of Trial Lawyers and in return voted repeatedly against legislation to curb frivolous lawsuits, therefore driving up insurance costs for taxpayers and small businesses. (Sept. 14, 2004; May 12, 2004; March 10, 2004; March 13, 2003; Sept. 26, 2002; March 13, 2002; etc.)

7. Strickland consistently votes against family values by supporting government-funded abortion, gay adoption, gay civil unions, and human cloning.

6. Strickland served on the government task force that developed “HillaryCare”—Hillary Clinton’s failed 1993 attempt to create a national socialized health care bureaucracy.

5. Strickland is more liberal than nearly three-quarters of his colleagues in the U.S. House of Representatives, according to National Journal.

4. Strickland is a Washington liberal who supported the agenda of Americans for Democratic Action, the nation’s oldest liberal lobbying group, 95% of the time last year.

3. Strickland received a 13% rating or “F” from the National Taxpayers Union, earning him a “Big Spender” label on tax votes.

2. Strickland voted AGAINST the historic tax relief packages passed by Congress in 2001 and 2003, choosing instead to fight against tax cuts for 4.4 million Ohio taxpayers and thousands of small businesses who drive Ohio’s economy. (March 21, 2003; April 11, 2003; May 9, 2003; and May 23, 2003)

1. Strickland voted FOR the largest tax increase in U.S. history, which raised taxes by $241 billion, raised the Social Security tax from 50% to 85%, raised gas taxes by 30%, and extended a previous gas tax that was set to expire. (Aug. 5, 1993)
