It’s a shame. Really it is for either side. The fact that the lady dropped the challenge because Teddy voted still doesn’t answer other questions. Questions that will remain unresolved into the election and into Strickland’s administration if he should pull off a victory. So I ask again.
1. If there is nothing wrong wouldn’t you want fair and open hearings to clear the air if you are a Democrat? Do you really want this to linger into the next four years?
2. It is only right because the same demands would be made if this were a Republican. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. Instead we are left with a potential tax fraud or voter fraud crime to go unresolved just because on person now refuses to pursue the case.
So the issue isn’t settled and you have to ask why no one is asking any tough questions. Someone out there knows the truth. Will it come out after the election? Why not the truth now?
I understand that Paul Miller over at Newshound will be voting Republican with the exception of Ken Blackwell. Though I don’t underestimate some of the issues he has raised. But a vote for Strickland? That is so distasteful. Being gracious in person doesn’t/shouldn’t undercut the seriousness of Strickland’s judgment (or lack of). I can’t imagine 4 more of Taft like years with Strickland. I doubt he will dissapoint me on this.
Certainly Blackwell’s campaign has some issues. But what he speaks is right on. At least if Blackwell wins on a conservative platform we will probably seem some positive changes. The worst that can happen? He ends up like Strickland. Then we can hold Blackwell’s feet to the fire. What can we do with Strickland? Nothing. He ran as he is… high tax and against tax cuts. Talk about more of the same. Something Ohio can’t afford.
