Your Kidding, Right? Pole Dancing Gifts for Kids
October 30, 2006 |
(Photo Credit: The Daily Mail) I really couldn’t believe that this was true. Then after a few moments it really didn’t surprise me that some company saw an opportunity to promote future pole dancers. So don’t be surprised if down the road you hear… “Mommy, I want to be a pole dancer when I grow up.”
A “sexy” pole-dancing kit has been pulled from the toys and games section of a website run by Britain’s biggest retailer after protests from outraged parents.
The Peekaboo pole-dancing kit, which has a “sexy garter” to help “unleash the sex kitten inside” was sold in Tesco Direct’s toys and games section, the Daily Mail newspaper reported.
“Soon you’ll be flaunting it to the world and earning a fortune in Peekaboo Dance Dollars,” its blurb reads.
“Unleash the sex kitten inside … simply extend the Peekaboo pole inside the tube, slip on the sexy tunes and away you go!”
The further exploitation of kids in our culture. When will parents just put and end to all of this for good? Do they have to wait for pole dancing competition at the high school or in Miss American contest? Then again I’m not sure the outrage against such things is increasing. What do you think? I rather doubt the makers intended the product for children. So many things are done by computers now and the stock comes in before anyone checks whether, for example, it is a comic for kinds of a Japanese erotica comic.
