It turned ugly and then the fog rolled into the area. Ironic as the voters of Ohio appear to be embraced by a fog of liberal tax and spend politics. The very thing that irked Ohioans about Bob Taft seem to be the very things they will get in their new administration.

Despite how things seemed to go… Allen County I am pleased to say did very well for the Republicans. Here is the breakdown (not all the votes are counted as of yet).

Blackwell 47% vs Strickland 49%

DeWine 53% vs Brown 45%

Cupp 73% vs Espy 26% (Supreme Court) [Cupp Wins]
Jordan 60% vs Siferd 39% (4th Congressional) [Jordan Wins]
Huffman 58% vs Shreafer 39% (4th District State Rep)

Montgomery 57% vs Dann 42%

Taylor 58% vs Sykes 41% [Taylor wins]

Hartmann 53% vs Brunner 42%

O’Brien 55% vs Cordray 44%

O’Donnell 60% vs O’Neill 39% (Supreme Court) [O'Donnell wins]

Blevins 39% vs Sneary 60% (County Commissioner)

There was a great grassroots effort in Allen County and the Chairman there did a great job in what turned out to be a very difficult year. Only if the numbers in Allen County were more widespread in the region then things would have been much different. For more on the election follow up… read Bizzy Blog.
