It’s an hour known for passing unpopular legislation (in the dead of night) and also as the ‘witching’ hour. So it seems either odd or foretelling of a dark hour for Ohio. Ok. Lets just say its more than interesting the choice of hour.

In a midnight swearing-in ceremony Monday, Democrat Ted Strickland officially replaced term-limited Republican Bob Taft as the Governor of Ohio as Ohio’s 68th governor.

With his wife, sisters and family beside him, Governor Strickland was sworn in by Chief Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court Thomas Moyer.

The event took place at what was ceremonial Statehouse office for the previous governor, but now will be more of working office for Gov. Strickland.

Lt. Gov. Lee Fisher was sworn as well.
