Not really sure what to think about this. All I know is that it is big news for the GOP. Perhaps it is good to get this behind us and I agree it will be interesting to see who is seated onto the board of elections. HT to Viking Spirit.
Columbus, OH – April 11, 2007 – The state’s chief elections officer, Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner today received a letter of resignation from Cuyahoga County Board of Elections Chair Robert Bennett. The resignation was tendered as part of a settlement in which she agreed to dismiss her administrative complaint for Bennett’s summary removal provided he resign and dismiss the complaint he filed against Brunner contesting his removal.
“I am pleased that Mr. Bennett has arrived at this decision. The voters of Cuyahoga County will be well served by his actions,” said Brunner. “Now we can move forward with the appointment of a new board, who can begin the vital work necessary to get the Cuyahoga Board of Elections on track,” added Brunner.
