He nails down the facts on Speaker of the House Pelosi who has insisted on devising her own foreign policy with terrorist states while cutting the jugular of our own military. WASHINGTON - Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Urbana) today criticized House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) for her unwillingness to attend a bipartisan Iraq War briefing provided by General David Petraeus, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff General Peter Pace, and other top military and diplomatic officials.

“How can you possibly trust the judgment of a leader who flat-out refuses to listen to intelligence updates from our top military commanders?” asked Jordan.  “It’s no secret that she believes she is entitled to conduct her own type of foreign policy, but to lead the Democratic Party toward cutting off funds for our troops in battle without even having the respect to hear the latest intelligence updates from the experts is beyond me.”

“Mrs. Pelosi was willing to travel halfway around the world to break bread with leaders of terrorist-supporting countries like Syria, but she was unwilling to cross the street to hear from our own military leaders,” added Jordan.

“The Speaker’s actions today speak volumes, and will correctly be perceived as disrespectful to our soldiers and the American people they are protecting,” Jordan concluded.
