Strickland’s Poll Sign of Things to Come
May 15, 2007 |
Ahhhh. Strickland… no one else has been so loved and adored by Ohio. NOT IN 26 Years!!
Believe that and you have the media mix for the drive-by media’s attempt to put a dem into office. Good grief. Doesn’t anyone do their homework?
YOUNGSTOWN — An Ohio Poll shows Gov. Ted Strickland with the highest inaugural approval rating for a governor in the survey’s 26-year history.
Of those polled, 68 percent approve of the performance of Strickland, a Democrat formerly from Lisbon. Among the rest, 16 percent disapprove and 16 percent didn’t have an opinion.
The Ohio Poll, released Monday by the University of Cincinnati’s Institute for Policy Research, shows Strickland’s approval rating among self-described Republicans at 64 percent.
Wish more could see through such false stats… considering the number of such tauted headlines. Thanks to NixGuy!
George Voinovich, 69 percent in January 1998.
Voinovich, 69 percent in October 1997.
Bob Taft, 69 percent in November 2001.
Taft, 69 percent in April 2000.â€Governor Strickland and the General Assembly are both enjoying an extended ‘honeymoon’ with Ohioans,†Rademacher said today. “This may be, in part, a positive reaction to the cooperative effort that has characterized this year’s budget negotiations.â€
I like my title better. But I think it just goes to show how absolutely lame the Ohio media is. They like their anointed governor until they don’t. Enjoy it while it lasts Ted.
Lincoln Logs is all over this as well.
