Ohio Unions Decline

September 4, 2007 |

While Gay Marriage is on the rise it appears that news of the Union’s Decline in Ohio comes over the Labor Day celebration. Yet their influence is increasing thanks to Gov. Strickland. That means send more money message is going out to the Unions. Is the Administration being bought by Big Labor Interests?

COLUMBUS — In Ohio, unions now represent just 14.2 percent of all workers, compared to about one third of the work force during organized labor’s glory days in the 1950s.

Yet, Democrat Ted Strickland’s election as governor has given unions a voice in state government that they haven’t had since the last Democrat, Richard F. Celeste, left office 16 years ago.
