It has often been said that there is not such thing as coincidence in the Clinton campaigns. I’ll draw fire for even raising this question but could this have been staged? One can hardly imagine that any normal candidate could even consider it. But it isn’t a stretch when considering the Clintons. Why would she want this opportunity? Well, one it gives her the spotlight for several days is one. The next is it allows here to show the nation she would make a good leader in the midst of a crisis. Thirdly it also makes the left feel like some right wing gun nut is attacking her, hence the benefit of victim status. Nice combination if you ask me.

[CNN: content] Leeland “Lee” Eisenberg, 46, of Somersworth, New Hampshire, walked into the office wearing what he said was a bomb strapped to his chest, police said. The “bomb” turned out to be road flares held with duct tape.

Five people inside the office at the time, including a small child, were eventually released unharmed.

Clinton, who had been in the Washington area, flew to New Hampshire Friday night to meet with the hostages and their families. At a news conference afterward, she said they expressed “a lot of relief, a lot of gratitude.”

“It was for me and my campaign an especially tense and difficult day,” said Clinton, who said her campaign had no previous contact with Eisenberg.
