Congressman Jordan to run again
December 18, 2007 |
No surprise and good news for those who like real conservatives in government. The only shame is that there are not more men like this actually in the Congress. People really don’t realize just what a gem he is.
[Lima News: Picture and content] LIMA — Announcing a run for a second term in Congress, U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan said he will continue working on an issue he’s devoted a good measure of time to already: lowering federal spending.
While the nation’s economy is strong, it could be better, Jordan said, and families paying $3 for gas, home-heating costs and higher insurance aren’t feeling it.
“It’s why it’s important for policymakers to do things right for a change, and address overall spending and taxation,” Jordan said. “It’s important to look at health care. By February we’ll have our presidential nominees decided and you’ll see a real debate this country goes in health care.”
Since taking office in January, Jordan, 43, a Republican from Urbana, said he has introduced more amendments to hold the line on federal spending than any other congressional member.
“We started with a simple idea — with the nondefense appropriation bills, let’s spend what we spent last year and let’s save $20 billion for taxpayers.”

If this guy had any integrity he would run on a platform that mentioned how illegal the Federal Reserve System and personal income tax are. Anything else is just window dressing.
Maybe he should read section 8 article 5 of the US constitution if he needs any clarity on how illegal and corrupt the Federal Reserve is. The Federal Reserve is a private banking cartel that prints our currency and then charges the American Taxpayers interest on our own money. It’s by far the greatest scam in the history of Western civilization. Good thing most Americans can’t be bothered with irrefutible facts because they are watching Dancing with the Stars.
