The further misrepresentations of the truth and the over reaction of liberals always amazes me. I hope they don’t take this personal but I found several of these both humerus and troubling.

Stubborn Liberal:

“I was disappointed in Romney’s statement,” said the Rev. Barry W. Lynn, Americans United executive director. “The founders of our Constitution meant for religion and government to be completely separate. Romney is wrong when he says we are in danger of taking separation too far or at risk of establishing a religion of secularism.

“I was particularly outraged that Romney thinks that the Constitution is somehow based on faith and that judges should rule accordingly, “ Lynn said. “That’s a gross misunderstanding of the framework of our constitutional system…..

“I was also disappointed that Romney doesn’t seem to recognize that many Americans are non-believers,” Lynn continued. “Polls repeatedly show that millions of people have chosen to follow no spiritual path at all. They’re good Americans too, and Romney ought to have recognized that fact….. [I wonder if he recognizes that believers (even though Mormon) can be good Americans also... apparently not!]

[Stubborn Liberal gets this one right but I also wonder if he would disqualify any religious type leader... etc. from being put into positions of leadership/power in the new administration. I bet he would.] Presidential candidate Rudolph Giuliani hired a Catholic priest to work in his consulting firm months after the priest was accused of sexually molesting two former students and an altar boy and told by the church to stop performing his priestly duties.

The priest, Monsignor Alan Placa, a longtime friend of Giuliani and the priest who officiated at his second wedding to Donna Hanover, continues to work at Giuliani Partners in New York, to the outrage of some of his accusers and victims’ groups, which have begun to protest at Giuliani campaign events…..

[On AID's he tries to nail Huckabee for his view on aids in 1992. However, no one wants to talk about the facts that AID's could be ended as a crisis if people were faithful to one spouse and would abstain from sex prior to marriage. Well.. you know how well that would go over so pass on the Federal Dollars] ….As a candidate for a U.S. Senate seat in 1992, Huckabee answered 229 questions submitted to him by The Associated Press. Besides a quarantine, Huckabee suggested that Hollywood celebrities fund AIDS research from their own pockets, rather than federal health agencies….

“If the federal government is truly serious about doing something with the AIDS virus, we need to take steps that would isolate the carriers of this plague,” Huckabee wrote….

“In light of the extraordinary funds already being given for AIDS research, it does not seem that additional federal spending can be justified,” Huckabee wrote. “An alternative would be to request that multimillionaire celebrities, such as Elizabeth Taylor (,) Madonna and others who are pushing for more AIDS funding be encouraged to give out of their own personal treasuries increased amounts for AIDS research.”

Huckabee did not return messages left with his campaign……

Mr. Huckabee needs to be asked some specific questions about this story, and they include the following:

1. Does he think that AIDS patients should still be isolated?

2. Does he still stand by these statements that he wrote several years ago? Which of his opinions about AIDS has changed?

3. Does he still think that the federal government provides too much money for AIDS research?

4. Can Huckabee explain how AIDS is transmitted?

5. Are there any other individuals that Huckabee thinks should be isolated?
