March 7, 2008 |
An independent has joined the race. This may actually help Sen. Faber as the independent will draw votes away from the Democratic candidate.
Independent Kaffenberger files to run against Faber
Incumbent state Sen. Keith Faber (R-Celina) will have two opponents for the general election in November.
Independent candidate Jack Kaffenberger filed petitions to run for the 12th District Ohio Senate seat, according to the Allen County Board of Elections. The deadline for independents to file to run in the general election was 4 p.m. Monday.
Faber will also defend against Democrat Thomas Matthew of Wapakoneta in November.
