The law eliminates a minor’s ability to have a judge bypass the consent rule by showing a pattern of abuse by her parents or guardian, and it requires a woman seeking an abortion to meet with a physician at least 24 hours before the procedure to hear mandated information about it.
It appears that facts just get in the way of ‘progress’ in protecting the real victims. The liberal attack to increase the frequency of abortions is clouded in emotional rhetoric. No abused or mistreated ‘child’ is being neglected or being left unprotected. They still have their day in court. It does help them to be more informed (since is accurate information bad?) and also keeps them for shopping for the ‘right’ answer.
Certainly Petro will gain something from this case. The ones who will really benefit will be the countless children who will have the chance to live. If the mother doesn’t want the child, there are many in Ohio looking for children.
