I have to admire the stretch for Van Wert. Really, I wish Lima would make such an attempt. It seems everyone is all for getting the Casino but not make an attempt on the Rolls Royce plant is a shame. If they have pushed for it… it seems to be a national secret.
Out of running for Rolls: Van Wert site cut from list to host Rolls-Royce

Van Wert County’s economic development director said state officials told her Friday that the county’s bid for a Rolls-Royce manufacturing site won’t reach the company.
The site that was a finalist in Honda’s quest for an assembly plant was not a finalist in the list of sites Ohio submitted to Rolls-Royce, Nancy Bowen said.
“We learned that we were not in the running and I don’t have any details on that at all. We don’t know the reasons, but we hope to know soon,” Bowen said. “It is highly confidential and the state doesn’t want to reveal which sites are in or out.”
