This world has turned upside down and all around. Does anyone else feel it? A Veteran Cuts Down a Mexicn Flag flying over the American Flag and there is talk of possible charges. (see the article here) That article and this one from Ohio are not really that distant. It should be noted that the flags in this story were flying side by side. No… I’m not advocating burning other people’s property. However note that in this case she argues that it is “hate speech” because her flag was desecrated.
So does it follow that the man who flew the Mexican flag over the American flag was also involved in a “hate crime”. Does it also mean that the American flag, when being burned, is also a “hate crime” and not protected speech. It seems as if in America you have the right to “hate America” and not to love it. It doesn’t follow that you have the right to hate anyone else because you are an American. So it goes in the new world we live in.
[Central Ohio.com] Martz eventually decided that Marion would be the perfect central-Ohio city to raise her young son. Less than two months after making the move to a home on the city’s northwest side, however, she is second-guessing that decision.
“I got up (Thursday morning) to take my son to school and I noticed there were black ashes on my front porch,” Martz said. After further investigation, she discovered the charred remains of a Mexican flag she proudly displayed to celebrate her Mexican-American heritage.”It’s connected to my house. It’s maybe five feet from my front door. They could have burned my house down,” she said about the intentional act by someone to destroy her property.
A U.S. flag she displays next to the Mexican flag was untouched.
Maj. Bill Collins with the Marion Police Department said that officers have thoroughly investigated the incident as arson, but have come up with few leads in the case.
“There was no physical evidence found at the scene that would lead us to determine who it might have been,” he said. “Nobody saw or heard anything unusual that night.”
Collins said that the incident is being considered “simple criminal mischief.”
Martz feels certain that her flag was burned as a message, and should constitute a hate crime.

WOW! I feel for certain everytime our flag is burned it is done in an act of hate.
I feel it is hateful and disrespectful for all those who have served their country and all those who paid the ultimate price.
But again, as Americans we have no rights. The lib logheads are redefining our founding documents to mean rights for everyone but Americans!
An incident like this happened several years ago where two guys were charged with a hate crime for burning a rainbow flag. Students in CA were reprimanded for walking on an Arab /Muslim flag.
I dare anyone to say that our Right to Free Speech is not being redefined by the LIbs as our Right to Selective Acceptable Free Speech!
