Do you remember when the media was thrilled and lauded the courage of the man who threw the shoe at the President? Of course you do, or should. That was when President Bush was in office. Today someone had enough bullocks to should “You Lie” when the President said the Health Care is not a government take over.
I wonder if the press would have been so gracious if they had video of a shoe being thrown at the President.
In an angry and very audible outburst, Representative Joe Wilson, a South Carolina Republican, interrupted President Obama’s speech Wednesday night with a shouted “You lie.”
His eruption — in response to Mr. Obama’s statement that Democratic health proposals would not cover illegal aliens — stunned members of both parties in the House chamber

Yes he does want to help the poor people but think
about how he is doing it. Those who actually get out
and work hard for what they make is being taken away
from them to give to someone who does nothing but

know a few people who work hard and are still
considerd poor but those people are trying to do

Actually this nation was in a finacial bind way before Bush
came into office. It has been going down many presidents ago. With the tragedy on 9/11 I think Bush did
the right thing by sending troops out to protect our nation.
What did you want him to do sit back and do nothing. Then the
terrorists could have brought war to our nation. Do you want
your home to be destroyed by war invasion or would you rather
for the troops to go after these people in their own country.

Yet, somehow, the Democrats in Congress were able to hold their tongues during every Presidential speech of the last administration.
Recent GOP members’ behavior and the new lows in conservative “news” station “reporting”, show only one thing clearly: utter desperation. No positive input, productive contributions or dialogue; only pathetic, shrill, empty rhetoric and a petty campaign to undermine a very popular president. Where was Mr. Wilson during the eight years of lies of the Bush Administration?
The truth does hurt. The office of president does deserve respect but in this case the price to pay will be more outrage. Young people don’t carry health insurance because it eats half their paycheck then when they need it, it won’t pay because of illegal aliens keep who keep the emergency room full. Baby sneezed this morning…..have to get medical help.People come here from all over the world because of our health care. The socialist crap hasn’t worked in the past and it won’t work now! It was under the Bush administration that illegals began coming here because Bush allowed employers to hire them. My whole neighborhood was built by Mexicans. I saw them working every day for low wages and no healthcare in borad daylight. The banks and the builders got rich off their cheap labor.
It was also under Bush that job outsourcing became a hot item for businesses. Hiring foreigners on the cheap.
And oh yea, Bush gave the wealthy a tax break so they could save more of the money they were making by not hiring Americans and said they could use the extra money to create jobs. Please don’t say they created jobs for Americans. Where were the jobs?
Instead, Bush jacked up the economy- turning a Clinton era surplus to an economic crisis.

Doesn’t anyone want to mention that in 2005, countless Democrat senators and congressmen attending the State of the Union Address hissed and booed President Bush when he spoke of Social Security’s looming bankruptcy without reform. What a double standard.
