We will try to squeeze everything we can out of this article posted by Progress Ohio. His complaint is that Republicans were upset that the left was disrespectful of President Bush while Troops were in harms way. True enough. It’s also true that things have changed and the roles have reversed and the left hasn’t really given any room for the same behavior they exhibited a few years ago.
I put forth the idea that this President has put this Nation in harm’s way with his policies and dramatic increase in the debt that seems to be endless. However, to the point. Progress Ohio reported that the Weekly Standard is advertising Stress Dolls in the image and likeness of President Obama. At issue is the hand crushing President Obama’s head is a white hand. Was anyone at the Weekly Standard monitoring the boys in the photo department? Who reviewed this ad? Didn’t anyone take one moment to consider the image they would be creating? At least they should have gotten Michael Steele to do the crushing. That would have been much better.
Let’s consider what other Stress Dolls could have been used and what those pictures might have been like.
Uncle Sam Stress Doll
The perfect doll for the over burdened tax payer being crushed by multiple hands both black and white in the shot.
Another version could be with the Left of a hand with a Marxist symbol crushing the doll. Race would be unimportant. It’s all about the tat.
White Presidential Bush Stress Doll
When anything goes wrong you just take it out on President Bush. It would sell well among the Left and would be handy while watching the economy slide in to the pits saying “Bush is to Blame.” It would have come in handy during the Bush Oil Spill. You could sell this with a Black hand crushing the Bush Stress Doll.
Yes, lots of ideas and a money to be made. In this case of the Obama Stress Doll being squeezed by a white man… just a case of Conservatives Gone Stupid.
