Dean and Laura came to America and started a small business (a small dinner called Laura’s Kitchen). For a decade they have supplied jobs and made enough to make a decent living. After several E-2 visa renewals it was suddenly denied by a California case worker. They will soon be kicked out and they are rushing to sell what they can. Jobs in the meantime are now lost. The reason is below.
That’s because the “E-2″ visa they’d legally had for years — twice renewed with no problem– was suddenly denied last year.
The reason — an immigration case worker in California reviewing their numbers declared their business “marginal,” not profitable enough, even though they made enough to run the business, live virtually debt free and employ local people part-time.

Hard working people providing jobs and all the President Obama’s Government can do is to kick them out. It’s a shame the couple doesn’t just stay and work illegally. So you reward the criminals instead and deport those that try to follow the rules. Great Job! NOT.
If they choose to stay and work illegally I would want to see the Administration haul them out by force or let them continue to work.

Located on Rt 9 West just past Well’s High School, Laura’s is a local stop run by a little lady. The British waiter is friendly fast and efficient.
Homemade hash, huge pancakes, and fluffy omlettes.

I love the board on the wall that has fun trivia to read while you wait.
My father swears by this place and hates the busy Maine Diner up the street.
