Reagan To The Evil Empire: TEAR DOWN THIS WALL!

Small Reporting on the Berlin Wall. The freedom of millions was held off for so many years because the U.S. held policy higher than the people of Eastern Europe who were harmed first by Germany and then by Russian oppression. The weakness of U.S. policy of East vs West was finally ended when President Reagan had the courage to identify the USSR as the Evil Empire. His courage and action eventually led to their freedom. Something many will forget and those that were freed should let people know that it was the US who gained their freedom.
Tags: ConservativeAfter the surrender of May 8, 1945 eliminated the threat of Nazi Germany, Patton was quick to assert the Soviet Union would cease to be an ally of the United States. He was concerned that some 25,000 American POWs had been liberated from POW camps by the Soviets, but were never returned to the US. In fact, he urged his superiors to evict the Soviets from central and eastern Europe. Patton thought that the Red Army was weak, under-supplied, and vulnerable, and the United States should act on these weaknesses before the Soviets could consolidate their position. In this regard, he told then-Undersecretary of War Robert P. Patterson that the “point system” being used to demobilize Third Army troops was destroying it and creating a vacuum that the Soviets would exploit. “Mr. Secretary, for God’s sake, when you go home, stop this point system; stop breaking up these armies,” pleaded the general. “Let’s keep our boots polished, bayonets sharpened, and present a picture of force and strength to these people, the Soviets. This is the only language they understand.” Asked by Patterson — who would become Secretary of War a few months later — what he would do, Patton replied: “I would have you tell the Red Army where their border is, and give them a limited time to get back across. Warn them that if they fail to do so, we will push them back across it.”

In the name of God several women and men involved revolted not just against “church rules” but against what God has written. One woman is a married lesbian. The other supports gay ministers in the church. Both were ordained recently. These liberals are the very reason God’s people continually got His people in trouble by not listening.
What people do outside of the church isn’t an issue. At issue is that liberals don’t listen to the documents that are supposed to guide them. In the church liberals ignore God’s word while saying they do. In politics it is liberals ignoring the rules of law and the Constitution while saying they do. In both cases liberals haven’t been effectively confronted on these issues and we wonder why we are heading down a path in this nation we really don’t want to be going.

Organizers said it was the first such action by dissenters hoping to change Methodist policies toward gays.
Neither woman will be eligible for assignments to lead Methodist churches under existing policies, but they both believe their new credentials will make them eligible for other jobs within the church, or as ministers in other denominations.
“This day is historic. We have all chosen to live the future now,” said Annie Britton. Her legal marriage three years ago to another woman in Massachusetts ended her path to ordination within her church.
Now the Rev. Annie Britton, she plans to work in church ministry and outreach with a United Church of Christ congregation in Rhode Island.
United Methodist Church positions on ordination of homosexuals: “While persons set apart by the Church for ordained ministry are subject to all the frailties of the human condition and the pressures of society, they are required to maintain the highest standards of holy living in the world. Since the practice of homosexuality is incompatible with Christian teaching, self-avowed practicing homosexuals are not accepted as candidates, ordained as ministers, or appointed to serve in The United Methodist Church.”

Current rules in the United Methodist Church welcome homosexuals as members, but regard the “practice of homosexuality” as “incompatible with Christian teaching”…

Mexican Border: Authorized to Return Fire!

If they start shooting at us across the border officers can now fire back. Wow. What a real novel concept. The right to defend oneself from creeps who figure they are protected by an invisible border. Liberals will see this as an escalation. Conservatives will see it as an opportunity to create peace by picking off the violent.
Let’s just hope our boys can pick them off. Remember, one shot, one kill. What the heck is going on in Mexico on their border. One article talks about the shoot-outs and that some are throwing hand grenades.
Just yesterday, News Center 23 was the only Valley station to go to Matamoros, Mexico where a vilent shoot out went down.
In the shoot-out on Preciliano Delgado Street, there was gun fire and hand grenades thrown.
Several were wounded and sources say, there may have been fatalities.
Hours later, masked military men still lined the streets to keep a watchful eye on everything.
A spillover of vilence to the Valley is what agents say they want to prevent.
“We’re out here to secure the border, we’re out here to make sure our neighborhoods are safe.”
With the rising violence, residents on this side say they want to feel safe now more than ever.
Ultimately, Doty says solid communication and team work will keep us in the land of free, free from violence.
Hidalgo County Sheriff Lupe Trevino says he’ll assign deputies along the river, with fully automatic rifles, and if they’re fired at, they will have authorization to shoot back.
No more sitting on the sidelines while they shoot 300 shots across the border.
Tags: Conservative, illegal immigration, National SecurityHe recalled an incident in 2006 when more than 300 shots were fired across the river at his deputies and Border Patrol agents. At that time he decided to pull his deputies back from the river for their safety.
Not this time.
“If fired upon we will respond in kind,” he said.
Tension along the border has increased this week with a shootout in downtown Matamoros, Mexico across the river from Brownsville, Thursday afternoon and shots fired at or near the U.S. Consulate in Monterrey, Mexico twice this week. In the first incident, a grenade was lobbed at the consulate that did not explode.
Vitiello and Trevino declined to offer more details about the operation, content with sending a message that law enforcement at all levels along the border is cooperating and will not tolerate violence.

Vulgar to the end. Defiant, fat and just waiting to die yet he still didn’t want to die. His lawyers argued he was too fat to die. His weight wouldn’t have been an issue if justice was swifter. The rape and slayings took place in 1986. Good grief. We have paid for this man too long. You can’t release him.
“Whoever sheds man’s blood, By man his blood shall be shed, For in the image of God He made man. Genesis 9:6
This act is a true act of justice and mercy for his victims.
Tags: Conservative, OhioOhio executed a 5-foot-7, 267-pound double murderer Tuesday who argued his obesity made death by lethal injection inhumane.
Richard Cooey, 41, had argued in numerous legal challenges that his weight problem would make it difficult for prison staff to find suitable veins to deliver the deadly chemicals, a problem that delayed previous executions in the state.
There were no such difficulties, said Larry Greene, a spokesman for the Southern Ohio Correctional Facility.
During preparations, though, Cooey shouted for one of his attorneys as prison staff tried to insert a shunt in his left arm. He was worried the staff would botch the execution, said Greg Meyers, an attorney with the Ohio Public Defender’s Office.
Cooey, who killed two University of Akron students in 1986, walked into the death chamber wearing gray pants and a black short-sleeve shirt and was strapped onto the gurney.
“For what? You (expletive) haven’t paid any attention to anything I’ve said in the last 22 1/2 years, why would anyone pay any attention to anything I’ve had to say now,” Cooey said looking at the ceiling. He made no other comment.
Cooey tapped the fingers of his left hand several times before he died and his face took on a purple shade.
Six family members of one of his victims quietly watched the execution. Mary Ann Hackenberg, the mother of Dawn McCreery, who was 20 when she was killed, looked to the ceiling and let out a sigh when Cooey’s death was announced at 10:28 a.m.
Summit County Prosecutor Sherri Bevan Walsh said the family was disappointed that Cooey was vulgar and hateful to the end.
