Gay Weddings Will Boost Economy

It all comes down to this. Marriage Expansion is good for the economy. This was the argument for gambling in Ohio and the same tact is being used, at least by NewsDay, to put a positive take on the same sex marriage. There is no moral discussion about greed, fraud and certainly not about marriage. It’s all about the money. No surprise. At least we know what is driving the support into the camp for Marriage Expansion.

HARTFORD, Conn. - A new report says same-sex marriages could pump $3 million to $13 million into Connecticut’s economy over the next three years.

The Williams Institute at UCLA Law School says Connecticut’s recent Supreme Court decision legalizing same-sex marriage could draw gay couples from throughout the country.

Massachusetts and Connecticut are the only states in which same-sex couples can legally wed.

California allowed gay marriage until voters approved a ballot question this month defining marriage as between a man and a woman.

Several Connecticut wedding planners and florists say they expect a boost in business from out-of-state gay couples.

Connecticut’s same-sex wedding ceremonies started Nov. 12.

The Defense of Islam’s Pedophilia

November 22, 2008 by Conservative Culture

I have seen the video’s demonstrating Mohammad’s marriage to a 6 year old (though he didn’t consumate the marriage until age 9… wow, what restraint). I have also watch the defense of such actions of men in Islam today. It becomes clear that one easily justifies such marriages today by reaching for Muhammad and justifying his sin. Welcome to the new age. We have seen such actions by Cult’s in America and it is disgusting behavior. Does the teaching of such marriages cause a repudiation by “moderate” Muslims?

Should this be exposed? Is it dangerous to expose such things? Is this just a cultural thing and are the peophilia  forces in the United States right advocating similar things about “consential” relationships between adults and children? Will the United States be able to justify codifying such marriages after allowing same-sex marriages? The world has lost it’s mind. Have you joined in. Speak up and post your comments.

The Prophet Muhammad is the model we follow. He took ‘Aisha to be his wife when she was six, but he had sex with her only when she was nine.

Interviewer: When she was six…

Dr. Ahmad Al-Mu’bi: He married her at the age of six, and he consummated the marriage, by having sex with her for the first time, when she was nine. We consider the Prophet Muhammad to be our model.

Interviewer: My question to you is whether the marriage of a 12-year-old boy with an 11-year-old girl is a logical marriage, which is permitted by Islamic law.

Dr. Ahmad Al-Mu’bi: If the guardian is the father… There are two different types of guardianship. If the guardian is the father, and he marries his daughter off to a man of appropriate standing, the marriage is obviously valid.

[...]

People find themselves in all kinds of circumstances. Take, for example, a man who has two, three, or four daughters. He does not have any wives, but he needs to go on a trip. Isn’t it better to marry his daughter to a man, who will protect and sustain her, and when she reaches the proper age, he will have sex with her? Who says all men are ferocious wolves?

Gay Supporters Attack Elderly Woman

Not even the news on Fox really understand the new tolerance. Of course the gay supporters cry for tolerance but are intolerant toward others. Josh McDowel put it this way nearly 20 years ago. The New Tolerance is Tolerance for the Tolerant and Intolerance for the Intolerant.

The New Tolerance doesn’t accept differences but rather requires not only acceptance but praise. Welcome to Sodom. Stomp that Cross. Of course the ending line by the news reporter says it all… there’s a lot of hate on both sides. That line is used to negate the ugly behavior of the gay activists. (Please don’t bother commenting on ugly behavior of others toward gay’s… we don’t endorse that either… stick to topic.)

Genesis 19 1 The two angels arrived at Sodom in the evening, and Lot was sitting in the gateway of the city. When he saw them, he got up to meet them and bowed down with his face to the ground. 2 “My lords,” he said, “please turn aside to your servant’s house. You can wash your feet and spend the night and then go on your way early in the morning.”
“No,” they answered, “we will spend the night in the square.”

3 But he insisted so strongly that they did go with him and entered his house. He prepared a meal for them, baking bread without yeast, and they ate. 4 Before they had gone to bed, all the men from every part of the city of Sodom—both young and old—surrounded the house. 5 They called to Lot, “Where are the men who came to you tonight? Bring them out to us so that we can have sex with them.”

6 Lot went outside to meet them and shut the door behind him 7 and said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. 8 Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them. But don’t do anything to these men, for they have come under the protection of my roof.”

9 “Get out of our way,” they replied. And they said, “This fellow came here as an alien, and now he wants to play the judge! We’ll treat you worse than them.” They kept bringing pressure on Lot and moved forward to break down the door.

10 But the men inside reached out and pulled Lot back into the house and shut the door. 11 Then they struck the men who were at the door of the house, young and old, with blindness so that they could not find the door.

12 The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, 13 because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the LORD against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.”

14 So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry [a] his daughters. He said, “Hurry and get out of this place, because the LORD is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was joking.

Liberals Look To Throw Out California Votes!

Until the people vote on something they can’t agree with. So when the people vote on an issue that is viewed as anti-progressive they will then turn to the courts to over turn the vote. The people of California overturned a gay marriage law with a court decision from California’s Supreme Court.

The proposition passed with 52 percent of the vote. Fairly sizable considering you are talking California. The proposition didn’t take away the rights of people to live together or even to get civil unions. It simple kept the definition of marriage as between a man and a woman. Not good enough for the marriage expansionists.

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) - California’s Attorney General on Monday urged the state Supreme Court to consider whether a gay marriage ban passed by voters this month was legal.

The state’s top lawyer, former governor Jerry Brown, said the court should keep the ban in place while it considers the issue — and it should rule quickly.

California’s ban marked a major reversal for same-sex couples, who had won state Supreme Court approval to marry in the trend-setting state in May.

Only a handful of states, provinces and European countries recognize same-sex marriage and gay marriage advocates have demonstrated vocally around the country since the November 4 vote.

Gay marriage advocates have argued in court that the ban vote was improper, since it was passed in an amendment process requiring majority approval — the ban won 52 percent support.

Gov. Schwarzenegger Believes Gay Marriages Still Valid

November 10, 2008 by Conservative Culture

That remains to be seen. Since Proposition 8 passed there have been multiple protests and upset people. This now leaves in question the various gay marriages that took place in California. One would think that it would invalidate them but Governor Schwarzenegger believes otherwise.

Encouraging gay marriage supporters he told the people to never give up and the hopes that the California Supreme Court might overrule the people once again. Again we will be watching for the outcome.

THE GOVERNOR of California Arnold Schwarzenegger has predicted that the marriages of 18,000 gay and lesbian couples will remain valid, despite a ballot initiative that last week outlawed same-sex unions in the state.

He also said he hoped the California Supreme Court would overturn proposition 8, which reversed the court’s own decision last May to allow gay couples the right to wed. The initiative was approved by 52 per cent of the state’s voters after a fraught campaign in which groups on both sides were estimated to have spent some $73 million (€57 million).

“It’s unfortunate, obviously, but it’s not the end,” Mr Schwarzenegger said in a TV interview. “I think that we will again maybe undo that, if the court is willing to do that, and then move forward from there and again lead in that area.”

The governor publicly opposed proposition 8, which amends the state constitution to declare that “only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognised in California”.

On Sunday, he urged backers of gay marriage to follow the lesson he learned as a bodybuilder trying to lift weights that at first were too heavy for him. “I learned that you should never ever give up. They should never give up . . . They should be on it and on it until they get it done.”

The governor’s position on the fate of those marriages that were registered between mid-June, when recognition of same-sex unions took effect, and Tuesday’s election echoes that of California attorney general Jerry Brown, who has said he believes the state Supreme Court will uphold existing marriages as valid.

Obama Supporters Kill Same Sex Marriage?

November 8, 2008 by Conservative Culture

While the liberals rejoice at the first black President Elect they must also be furious that those same voters overwhelmingly rejected the pleas to keep the California Gay Marriage law.

California now enacts a gay marriage ban thus ending what was the hope of the Hollywood Elite to sanction their behavior under the umbrella of “being married”. The battle is not over but for now its over.

Obama made it possible by drawing out a number of minorities voters who don’t tolerate well the idea of marriage expansion with 70% of black voters behind the ban.

Weston, 44, is one of an overwhelming number — 70% — of black voters in California who voted for Proposition 8 and helped secure its passage, according to exit polling conducted by Edison Media Research and Mitofsky International.

African Americans, energized by Barack Obama’s presidential bid, boosted their numbers at the polls this year to 10% of the state’s electorate, up from 6% in 2004.

“The Obama people were thrilled to turn out high percentages of African Americans, but (Proposition 8) literally wouldn’t have passed without those voters,” said Gary Dietrich, president of Citizen Voice, a nonpartisan voter awareness organization.

Latinos were 18% of California’s voters, and through sheer numbers also contributed to Proposition 8’s success. But 53% of Latino voters supported the measure, a much lower percentage than black voters. Among white and Asian voters, 49% voted for the measure.

While the issue will be debated it won’t be debated that California now joins other states who have enacted a Gay Marriage Ban. However, civil unions are still permitted, something not permitted in Arizona and Florida who also passed Gay Marriage Bans.

SAN FRANCISCO — A giant rainbow-colored flag in the gay-friendly Castro neighborhood of San Francisco was flying at half-staff on Wednesday as social and religious conservatives celebrated the passage of measures that ban same-sex marriage in California, Florida and Arizona.

Bans in 3 States on Gay Marriage - NYTimes.com.

The debate in the MSM will continue and there remains no doubt that this issue isn’t over.

ABC News’ Alex Green Reports: Barack Obama won the presidential election on Tuesday but did the Democrats’ win contribute to the passage of a measure banning gay marriage in California?

It’s a question being hotly debated in the blogosphere and the theory goes something like this: a popular, African-American presidential contender increases black turnout. Blacks, by in large, oppose gay marriage. Therefore, proposition eight banning gay marriage in a Democratic-leaning state such as California passes 52-48 percent.

Turns out it’s not quite that simple.

“Whites voted very narrowly against the ban, 51-49 percent. Asian-Americans voted the same. Hispanics voted for it, by 53-47 percent. Blacks voted for it, overwhelmingly, 70-30. Blacks can be said to have put it over the top. Hypothetically, had no blacks voted, we compute a vote of 50-50,” according to an analysis by ABC News Polling Director Gary Langer.
